Preparation for heating period 2017/2018 discussed at Tatarstan Government House

The preparation of energy and housing utility organizations for the heating period 2017/2018 was discussed at the session of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Tatarstan held by Prime Minister of the republic Alexey Pesoshin. Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov and other officials took part in the session.

The Minister of Construction, Architecture, Housing and Utilities Irek Faizullin made a keynote report. He said that housing and utility sector is the biggest economic sector in the republic . The volume of rendered services in the industry made 33 bln roubles in 2016. Housing services made 12,5 bln roubles, heating supply services made 9 bln roubles, water supply services – 7,9 bln roubles, and heating supply services – 9,3 bln roubles.

32,000 people worked in the industry in 2016. The average salary made 24,3 thousand roubles.

To go through heating period properly, special attention is paid to the utility sector. 2,368 water intake facilities and 85 sewage treatment plants are used in water and sewage services.

Nine investment programmes for the sum of 530 mln and 347,4 thousand roubles were implemented in the republic in 2016. Heating supply systems were reconstructed, boiler houses and central heating stations were automated. Seven investment programmes for the sum of 413 mln and 474,9 thousand roubles were approved for 2017.

Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov gave an errand to finish the preparation of utility sector for the next heating period by September 15 focusing on social institutions.

“The readiness of the industry depends on well-coordinated work of municipalities, managing companies and home owners associations,” Minnikhanov said.
