On November 8, in Tatarstan Government House, Consultant to the World Bank Florentin Blanc delivered a lecture on improving the effectiveness of control and monitoring activities and using their potential as a tool to support economic growth.
Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, Prime Minister of the republic Alexey Pesoshin, Chief of Staff of Tatarstan President’s Administration Asgat Safarov, Country Director and Resident Representative of the World Bank in the Russian Federation Andras Horvai, heads of regional ministries and agencies attended the lecture.
In his opening speech, Minnikhanov noted that he had had a meeting with the delegation of the World Bank led by Andras Horvai earlier today. "There are a lot of useful ideas that we should realize with the World Bank," Tatarstan President said.
Giving the lecture, Blanc mentioned various ways to improve means of control and monitoring activities by introducing new approaches in the work of relevant organizations in particular. The speaker also touched upon issues of interaction between business and regulatory bodies, analyzed the experience of foreign countries in terms of increasing the efficiency of the state control system, etc.
