But despite all the difficulties, we are receiving investment, foreign business continues its operations in the country. We think that the year will end with growth of the gross regional product of 3-3. 5%,» — said Minnikhanov during a meeting of the Russian-Austrian business Council, held in Kazan.
The head of the Republic said that Tatarstan is open for mutually beneficial cooperation and aimed at creating the most comfortable conditions for investment in the region’s economy. Foreign companies, he said, for a long time and successfully working in Tatarstan, and the questions and comments received from representatives of foreign business, help the country to move forward in creating a comfortable business environment.
«Thanks to this 3 years in a row Tatarstan is the leader ranking of the Russian regions investment climate. In recent years, for 7 years – from 2010, the Republic attracted about $ 9 billion of foreign investment. And we’ll continue work on creating favorable conditions for doing business,» — said Minnikhanov.
The gross regional product of Tatarstan following the results of 2016 was 1.94 trillion rubles, which in comparable prices by 2.5% more than the previous year. According to this indicator, the Republic ranked sixth among all the subjects of the Russian Federation.
