Russia's broad monetary base down 14.5% to 8.425 trillion rubles in January

The monetary base grew 14% to 8.644 trillion rubles in 2012.

(Kazan, February 8, Tatar-inform). Russia's broad-definition monetary base shrank 14.5% to 8.425 trillion rubles in January, the Central Bank of Russia (CBR) said on its website, reports Interfax.

The monetary base grew 14% to 8.644 trillion rubles in 2012.

The broad monetary base includes cash issued by the CBR, the balance on reserve accounts in the CBR, correspondent accounts and bank deposits in the CBR, investment by banks in CBR bonds, and other obligations of the CBR on operations with banks in the national currency.
