The Ministry of Finance plans to implement property tax from January 1, 2014

Property tax can be introduced in Russia since January 1, 2014, said Deputy Finance Minister Sergei Shatalov.
"We assume that the tax will start from January 1, 2014," - he said at a tax conference on Monday.
The Ministry of Finance is currently preparing amendments to the Tax Code in order to include local taxes on real estate instead of working the land and property tax for individuals. The tax rates are defined in the bill as a registered real estate, and for the "object under construction."
