On rehearsal day of Universiade Opening Ceremony traffic flow to be restricted

At a briefing at Tatarstan Cabinet of Ministers, Deputy Head of Police Fargat Mukhametzyanov said that during Universiade drills and the Games traffic flow will be restricted. 

To the point, the drills “Four Universiade days” have started in Kazan. The first drills were held on June 8. On June 22, when Universiade Opening Day will be tested traffic wil be restricted from Universiade Village via Ak.Parin, Mavlyutov, Prospekt Pobedy and Yamashev streets, to Kazan-Arena stadium. 

On July 8-9 the traffic will be restricted on Embankment of the Kazanka River, behind the Central Stadium, and on July 12 – on Embankment of the Kazanka River, Krasnokokshaiskaya and Nesmelov streets. 

As for transport from other towns, restrictions will concern only heavyweights that will use bypass roads.
