Russia is no longer able to increase spending on social programs and government officials

The state is no longer able to increase spending on the social sector and the maintenance of officials , said Finance Minister Anton Siluanov at a meeting of the State Council.

"Over the past 10 years, spending all budgets on social sectors , state and municipal government have grown in real terms , ie adjusted for inflation , in the two and a half times. We can no longer increase these costs ," - said Siluanov .

The minister said that the budget sector in Russia is now overly bloated and inefficient. As the number of people employed in the public sector per 1000 inhabitants Russia is ahead of most developed countries of the OECD , 1.4 times , and countries with an average level of development - by 2.5 times.
