Dietrich Muller: “Siemens considers Tatarstan to be an attractive region for investments”

On November 20 at his meeting with Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov in Kazan President of Siemens, Russia and Central Asia, Vice-President of Siemens AG Mr Dietrich Muller said that the company considers Tatarstan to be an attractive region for investments. 

Tatarstan President thanked company’s officials for the visit to Kazan and noted that Germany is one of region’s strategic partners. In particular, trade turnover between Tatarstan and Germany is increasing, 82 companies with participation of German investors are working in the republic. 

Tatarstan President reminded that on October 15-17 he visited two German regions and got familiar with its economic potential and prospects. 

We are willing to continue mutually beneficial cooperation with Siemens and close partnership relations. Rustam Minnikhanov reminded that in 2012 Tatarstan and Siemens signed an agreement on strengthening strategic partnership and mutually beneficial cooperation. 

Mr Dietrich Muller noted high economic potential of Tatarstan. He believes that cooperation will be continued. He also mentioned that cooperation with DAAD is interesting for Tatarstan, and Siemens is willing to cooperate with Tatarstan higher educational institutions as well. 

An agreement on cooperation between Siemens and Kazan power engineering university was signed at the end of the meeting.
