Rustam Minnikhanov: "Saving interfaith peace - a priority of our policy"

The positive nature of interfaith relations is the competitive advantage of Tatarstan and its preservation - priority of the republic's leadership. This was stated by the President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov in a joint meeting of the Presidential Council of the Republic of Tatarstan on interethnic and interfaith relations and coordination meeting on the rule of law in the Republic of Tatarstan. The meeting was also attended by State Counsellor Mintimer Shaimiev, Chairman of the State Council Farid Mukhametshin, Tatarstan Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov, deputy presidential envoy in the Volga Federal District Oleg Melnichenko, director of the Department of International Relations, Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation Alexander Zhuravsky, heads of ministries and agencies, federal executive authority for the RT, the deputies of the State Council of Tatarstan, heads of municipalities.
