Deputy Finance Minister did not exclude higher taxes in the case of "deep crisis"

The Russian government may raise taxes in case of deterioration of the economic situation in the country, but now it is not planned, Deputy Finance Minister Sergei Shatalov said in an interview to the "Vedomosti" newspaper. President Vladimir Putin has promised to preserve existing conditions for four years in his message to the Federal Assembly. However, due to the pessimistic forecasts, government may reconsider the issue.
