Rustam Minnikhanov takes part in signing of memorandum between Tatarstan State Council and Grand National Assembly of Turkey

A memorandum on expansion of cooperation between Tatarstan State Council and Grand National Assembly of Turkey was signed at the 7th session of Tatarstan State Council today.
The document was signed by Chairman of Tatarstan State Council Farid Mukhametshin and Sadık Yakut, Deputy Chairman of Grand National Assembly of Turkey.
Interim President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov took part in the ceremony. It aims to activate inter-parliamentary relations and favour further development of mutually beneficial cooperation.
Members of the parliaments will render assistance in developing mutually beneficial trade and economic relations, and cooepariton in cultural and humanitarian spheres.
“We welcome the initiative of Grand National Assembly of Turkey that contributes to positive development of favourable social and economic environment, activation and strengthening of the investment climate for Turkish business partners in Tatarstan, and Russia – in Turkey,” Farid Mukhametshin said. He reminded that in 1990s Turkey became one of the most important foreign trade partners for Tatarstan.
“That time a solid foundation was laid for development of mutually beneficial cooperation in trade-economic, scientific-technical, educational and cultural spheres. Regular visits of Interim President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, deputies of State Council, heads of regional ministries and agencies make a considerable contribution to this process.
According to Farid Mukhametshin, projects in the sphere of automotive production, wood processing, furniture trade, and glass industry are the most important.
Chairman of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey Cemil Çiçek noted that due to the contribution of the first Tatarstan President Mintimer Shaimiev, Chairman of Tatarstan State Council Farid Mukhametshin and Interim President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, partnership relations between Tatarstan and Turkey are developing. He added that Tatarstan is a region with favourable investment climate and business opportunities.
On November 5, speaking at the Government House of the republic at a regional video-conference held by Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov with participation of Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan Aleksey Pesoshin, First Deputy Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing of the Republic of Tatarstan Aleksey Frolov reported that to date, as many as 2 million 954 thousand square meters of housing have been commissioned in Tatarstan.
On November 27, at their meeting in the Government House of the republic, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov and Deputy Chairman of the Executive Board of Sberbank Olga Golodets discussed the issues of the introduction of Sber digital products in the healthcare sector of Tatarstan.
On November 25, at their meeting in the Government House of the republic, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov and Director General of the Fund for the Protection of Citizens' Rights - Shared Construction Participants Konstantin Timofeev discussed the completion of the construction of problematic shared construction facilities in Tatarstan.
On October 28, at the Government House of the republic, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov chaired a regular board meeting of Tatneft Oil Company, to sum up the results of the company's budget execution for the 9 month of the current year and to approve budget amounts for October of 2020.
