Ildar Khalikov elected Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan

On September 25, at the 10th session of Tatarstan State Council of the 5th convocation, deputies appointed Ildar Khalikov for the position of Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan. 

Earlier, his candidacy was introduced for consideration by Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov. Rustam Minnikhanov noted that Ildar Khalikov is an experienced politician and Tatarstan Government represents an effective administrative team. 

Tatarstan President continued that the republic will face new challenging tasks stipulated by the Strategy-2030, and measures on their realization will be developed by new Cabinet of Minister of the republic. 

Speaking at the session, Ildar Khaikov noted that social and economic policy of Tatarstan is aimed at improving the population quality of life and ensuring sustainable economic development. Due to this approach and systemic work Tatarstan is one of the leading regions in Russia, with substantial potential and human capital. 

He continued that the Strategy-2030 implies the increase of GRP, industrial and agricultural production by 1.8 times, the increase of retail turnover by 1.9 times, and capital investments by 1.7 times.
