Rustam Minnikhanov: We proved that Tatarstan is able to provide its citizens with high quality products in current tough situation

On October 7, at a solemn event dedicated to the Day of workers of agriculture and processing industry at Korston hotel, Kazan, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov said that the republic is able to provide its citizens with high quality products.

Rustam Minnikhanov looked around the exhibition of regional agricultural producers, OOO “Prosto moloko”, ZAO “Chelny-Myaso”, and OAO “Zelenodolsk dairy plant”.

Opening the solemn event, Minnikhanov informed about the foundation laying ceremony of the juice factory that was held in Laishevo region of the republic earlier on the same day. The plant is expected to produce 50, 000 tonnes of juice per year.   

The president thanked all agricultural workers and villagers, who took part in the organization of agricultural fairs in regional towns.

“The current political situation resulted in certain problems connected with provision of food. We proved that Tatarstan agricultural producers and processors are able to provide its citizens with quality food. Today our republic produces food more than consumes. We should use this experience in other regions,” Rustam Minnikhanov said. He assured that implementation of all social programmes aimed at development of agricultural areas will be continued.

Summing up, Rustam Minnikhanov handed over state awards of the republic to the distinguished workers.
