Tatarstan and China Overseas Development Association to cooperate in a number of areas

Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov and Deputy Secretary-general of China Overseas Development Association (CODA) He Zhenwei discussed that Tatarstan and CODA will cooperate in a number of areas.

He Zhenwei thanked Rustam Minnikhanov for a warm welcome and informed that members of the Chinese delegation had already visited Alabuga Specialized Economic Zone, and Kazan helicopters plant, and that the agreement on creation of the Tatarstan-China agro-industrial development fund was signed. Projects in the sphere of plant growing, agro-processing and livestock sector will be implemented with Chinese investors under the agreement.

He Zhenwei noted that there is a strong interest in fresh products delivery and online product order in China, which can be realized in cooperation with Tatarstan. He confirmed his interest in joint projects in agricultural industry.

The parties also discussed cooperation with Kazan helicopters plant, as Chinese market of general civil aviation is prospective. He Zhenwei suggested organizing the production of helicopters in one of specialized economic zones in China.

Summing up, Rustam Minnikhanov said that cooperation with China in all discussed areas is interesting for the republic and furether steps on each area should be discussed.
