The 6th Silk Way Rally set off from Red Square in Moscow on July 8. The competition will take place in three countries: Russia, Kazakhstan and China, and will finish in Beijing on July 24.
Participants of the rally will travel the distance of 10, 000 km in 15 cities. 110 crossovers and trucks including KAMAZ trucks and jeeps of the legends of the world rally, Stéphane Peterhansel, Sébastien Loeb, and Cyril Despres will be competing for the victory.
Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov was one of the honoured guests at the ceremony. He said that the rally route is difficult and interesting like no other route in the world.
The first part of the route will be laid between Moscow and Kazan. The longest route (905 km) will go through North China. The total route is 10, 774 km. Six crews of KAMAZ-Master team are taking part in the rally.
