Rustam Minnikhanov arrives on a working visit in Saint Petersburg

On April 28, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, who arrived on a short working trip in Saint Petersburg, was met by Vice Governor of Saint Petersburg Sergey Movchan, Rector of Saint-Petersburg Polytechnic University and other officials at the Pulkovo International Airport.

During his stay in the northern capital, Minnikhanov will visit such enterprises as Klimov Plant, the Russian corporation for manufacturing aviation engines, Nevsky Zavod, a leading power engineering enterprise of Russia, the Engineering Center “Center for Computer Engineering” and other scientific and production sites.

The President of Tatarstan will also visit Peter the Great Saint Petersburg Polytechnic University and will get acquainted with the activities of the university in terms of the training of highly qualified engineering staff. It is planned that Minnikhanov will meet students from Tatarstan, who are studying at the university.

Representatives of Peter the Great Saint Petersburg Polytechnic University will tell Minnikhanov about the scientific activities of the university and make a presentation of achievements in the most promising areas.

Minnikhanov will also look around expositions of the scientific and technical creativity of the youth, as well as visit one of the most powerful supercomputer centres in Russia.
