Rustam Minnikhanov holds session of the regional organizing committee of Confederations Cup 2017

On June 7, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov held a session of the regional organizing committee of Confederations Cup 2017 at Tatarstan Government House.

Making a report on the preparation for matches of Confederations Cup 2017 and readiness of sports venues, Minister of Youth Affairs and Sport Vladimir Leonov said that ten days are left till the beginning of matches and the first teams from Mexico and Portugal will be arriving in Kazan on June 13-14.

Four matches will be held in Kazan, Mexico-Portugal (June 18), Germany- Chile (June 22), Mexico-Russia (June 24), and semifinals (June 28).

Kazan-Arena stadium with the modern infrastructure is the main venue of the event. All facilities have been adapted, and all services are ready for intensive operation.  

Elektron, Rubin and Central stadiums will be used as pre-match training venues. A total of 74 buses will be decorated with the symbols of Confederations Cup. Also, 700 volunteers will be working in the city. Leonov informed that the website in five languages was launched for the event. The accreditation center is located at Aquatics Palace. The ticket office is located on the Kremlin embankment. Fun-ID are issued in Bauman and 10, Chetayev streets.

Director General of the Executive directorate of sports projects Azat Kadyrov told about the work of media center for representatives of mass media agencies. It will open on June 15.
