Minimum wage agreement signed between Tatarstan Cabinet of Ministers, Federation of Trade Unions of Tatarstan and Tatarstan Coordination Council of Employers'Associations

On July 11, Tatarstan Prime Minister Alexey Pesoshin, Chairman of Trade Union Federation of the republic Tatyana Vodopyanova and Tatarstan Coordination Council of Employers'Associations Aleksandr Lavrentiev signed an agreement on the amount of minimum wage.

Pesoshin reminded that the agreement on social partnership has been signed for the fifth time in Tatarstan. The first agreement was signed in 2007.

According to the current agreement signed in August 2016, the minimum wage for non-budget organizations was set in the amount 8,252 roubles.

A new agreement sets minimum wage for non-budget organizations in the amount of 8,848 roubles per month, which is 100 per cent of the minimum subsistence minimum level set in Tatarstan for the working-age population for the first quarter of 2017.

Prime Minister of Tatarstan stressed that the labour market remains stable in the republic. As of the end of June this year, employment offices of the republic have registered about 13,100 people as unemployed, which makes up 0.64 per cent of the number of the economically active population.
