GDP growth in August will exceed 2% in annual terms, said Maxim Oreshkin

The growth of the Russian economy in August in annual terms will resume after the July slowdown to 1.5%, said the head of the Ministry Maxim Oreshkin.

On Monday, the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation released the latest data on the dynamics of GDP, according to which the growth of the economy in July in annual terms slowed to 1.5% after 2.9% in June.

«We expect growth in August will return to the level of above 2% in the whole year we will get a value above 2 percent,» the Minister told reporters after a meeting with French business.
