On November 3, Acting President of the Republic of Tatarstan Alexey Pesoshin paid a working visit to Moscow to take part in a meeting of the Government Commission on Regional Development in Russia held by Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Kozak.
The meeting discussed the results of large-scale work to inspect spending powers of the constituent entities. Measures to stimulate the regions to increase their own incomes were considered as well.
Kozak said the conditions for granting subsidies from the federal budget will include the building-up of the region's own economic potential, additional income mobilization, reduction of inefficient costs.
Minister of Finance of the Russian Federation Anton Siluanov made a keynote report at the meeting. The implementation of measures to restructure the budget credits of constituent entities and measures to retain the building-up of the debt commercial burden was the key issue on the agenda.
A detailed procedure to grant subsidies from the federal budget to the regions was presented to members of the government commission and regional representatives. In particular, it was noted that the salaries of public-sector workers will be increased in all regions next year.
