A summing-up meeting of the regional State Committee on Tourism

On January 23, speaking at a summing-up meeting of the regional State Committee on Tourism on the results of work in 2017, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin said that tourism industry has become one of the most dynamically developing branches of Tatarstan economy over the last years.

In his speech Pesoshin emphasized that infrastructure development, holding major international events and positive investment environment allowed Tatarstan to become one of the leaders in the development of tourism in Russia.

Over three million tourists visited Tatarstan in the reporting year.

The meeting was also attended by First Deputy Minister of Finance of the Republic of Tatarstan, Director of the Treasury Department of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Tatarstan Marat Faizrakhmanov.
