The Finance Ministry told about the possible abolition of the tax on movable property
The Finance Ministry has not rejected the idea to abolish the tax on movable property, said Deputy Minister Ilya Trunin.
«Am instrument — taxation of movable property? No, not really,» — said Trunin, speaking at the Russian business Week of the RSPP.
«We do not reject the idea of repealing this tax, minimize,» — said the Deputy Minister. According to him, most countries with developed tax system does not include movable property in the objects of taxation.
«We with 2012 consciously trying to cancel it in different ways. But we can’t do that because there is Federal structure of the state and must provide a certain level of income to budgets of subjects of the Russian Federation», — he added.
2018 expired in force in recent years, of the moratorium on this tax. The right to cancel it belongs to authorities of regions, however, none of the subjects of the Russian Federation refused from this tax. In the result, the tax burden on business has grown.
