On May 3, at the Kazan Arena Stadium, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov chaired a joint extended meeting of the regional Security Council, the Counter-Terrorism Commission, the Coordinating meeting on ensuring law and order, the regional interdepartmental operational headquarters on ensuring security during the FIFA World Cup in Kazan, the operational headquarters in Tatarstan and the Commission on preventing and eliminating emergency situations and ensuring fire safety.

Rustam Minnikhanov stressed that it is necessary to ensure security in all spheres, including the safety of both an individual participant and a facility of the championship, as well as all the resources attracted and used and infrastructure facilities.
