Rustam Minnikhanov sets priority objectives for Tatarstan’s oil-gas-chemical complex

Session of OAO “Tatneftekhiminvest-holding” Board of directors was held by the Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov at the Tatarstan Government House today.

Director General of the holding Rafinat Yarullin told about outcomes of activity of oil-gas-chemical enterprises in the first half of 2012. He said that an expected new wave of global economic crisis had been widely discussed since spring of 2012. At the same time, Russian and Tatarstan statistics does not show any crisis signs.

For six months Tatarstan’s industrial production index has made 106.4 %. The amount of construction works has increased by 9 %; turnover of retail trade – by 20 %; real wage – by 16%. Unemployment rate has reduced.

The cost of shipped products in oil-gas-chemical complex has increased by 11 %. Production rate has increased by 10.6 %. Oil-refining sector provided main increase of 47 %. As for chemical and petrochemical industries, production output has increased by 4.6 percent, in oil production sector – by 0.8 percent. The average monthly salary has made 30 thousand roubles.

Commenting on the information regarding activity of the oil-gas-chemical complex, Rustam Minnikhanov set some priority objectives. In connection with difficulties faced by Kazanorgsintez, he focused on petrochemistry being actively developed in the world, especially in China.

“By the way, Tatneft fiberglass factory is efficiently working,” Rustam Minnikhanov noted and required to set up a working group with participation of Tatneft officials and petrochemical industry workers.

One more task is the increase of polymer consumption in construction sphere, including road construction and major repair.

Aleksandr Oserin, Director of the Institute of synthetic polymer materials of the Russian academy of sciences told about polymeric composite materials, their development and prospects.

Rustam Minnikhanov offered the institute to prepare an application part of their developments saying that KAMAZ and Kazan helicopters would find it useful.

Tatiana Skaide, an official of BWS Technologie GmbH (Germany) made presentation about global experience of using SUPRATON homogenizers for road construction and chemical manufacturing.
