The Deputy Minister said that a decision on restructuring liabilities (debts) of Tatarstan was adopted in late 2012. Payment for use of federal funds in the grace period will be 0.5 percent annually. Alexei Shishkin said that the restructuring applies to loans made only to prepare for the Olympic Games and the Universiade, as well as measures to provide drought relief and support to individual municipalities. The amount of Tatarstan loans from the federal budget is 66.9 billion rubles, of which the preparation for the Universiade attracted about 63.5 billion rubles.
Exchanging views on bills, committee members voted unanimously to recommend to the State Council for adoption in the first and third readings.
