Siluanov considered risky to lend small business money from the National Welfare Fund

Finance Minister Anton Siluanov considers risky to provide small and medium enterprises (SME ) loans from the National Welfare Fund (NWF ) .

" All the same accommodation NWF should be strictly in safe assets that provide safety and profitability. Course , loans to small and medium-sized businesses - it is a high-risk operation," - he said , speaking at a government meeting on Thursday .

Ministry of Economic Development proposes to allocate from the National Welfare Fund 100 billion rubles, send them to the deposits in the VEB at the rate of inflation plus 1% , so that it became a source of funding for long-term loans for small and medium businesses. This , according to the agency's head Alexei Ulyukayev , will give the final credits at the rate of 10 % per annum for 10 years. This, in turn, can provide a 50 % increase in the volume of investment projects for small and medium businesses.
