Tatarstan Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov takes part in launching of Ford Kuga production at Ford Sollers Elabuga plant

On October 16 Tatarstan Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov, Ford Sollers President Ted Cannis, Ford Sollers CEO Adil Shirinov, Director General of OAO “Sollers” Vadim Shvetsov and Ford Board Chairman William Clay Ford took part in solemn launching of Ford Kuga production at Ford Sollers Elabuga plant.

In his welcoming speech Ted Cannis noted that it is another important event in history of Ford Sollers company, and he was glad that this car will now be produced in Russia.

Great grandson of Henry Ford William Clay Ford thanked employees of the enterprise for their contribution to the common business. He added that the company establishes long-term partnership relations.

Ildar Khalikov congratulated everyone on launching new production and conveyed welcoming words from Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov.
Video about production of new Ford Kuga and the first car were presented to the guests. Till the end of this year the company is planning to employ 500 people for working at its plants in Tatarstan.
