Introduction of direct tax on transactions with offshore companies will not solve the problem of tax evasion, as there are too simple ability to "bypass" the measure, said Deputy Finance Minister Sergei Shatalov.

Earlier Accounting Chamber, the expert community and law enforcement agencies have proposed to consider the possibility of introducing direct tax on conducting various operations with offshore companies.

"Everyone understands that it costs one step. Simple primitive measures usually rarely give a positive effect," - said Shatalov
