The Finance Ministry plans to make the purchase of foreign currency for the Reserve Fund more flexible

The Finance Ministry plans to change the procedure of buying foreign currency to the Reserve Fund , to make it more flexible, told reporters on Wednesday Deputy Finance Minister Alexei Moiseev .

This year, the Ministry of Finance did not go directly to the market : every day it bought currency at the Central Bank in the amount equivalent to 3.5 billion rubles, and the one in the mirror volumes acquired it on the market , given that in their foreign exchange interventions . Totally ministry planned to buy the currency for the Reserve Fund at 212 billion rubles, but spent only 38 billion rubles and stopped buying because of the fall of the ruble against the backdrop of escalating tensions in Ukraine.
