Rustam Minnikhanov: We are intensifying our work with the youth to attract talents to Tatarstan

On July 6, at a meeting of Interim President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov with participants of BRICS Youth Summit at the Kazan Kremlin, memorandum on cooperation was signed by heads of delegations.

First BRICS Youth Summit 2015 is being held in Kazan on July 4-7. Representatives of five countries, Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa are taking part in the summit. 

Rustam Minnikhanov welcomed the participants and told about measures taken in Kazan for developing youth movements. He noted that young people are very ambitious today, and often they do not have enough experience and need the support of authorities. 

Minnikhanov continued that there are more than 1 billion young people in BRICS countries. “Our task is to find main areas for international cooperation, sharing the experience and knowledge,” he added. 

Rustam Minnikhanov told about talent management programme, the Strategy of social and economic development until 2030, “Algarysh” programme, and other projects implemented in the republic. He told in details about higher educational institutions and research universities of the republic, and Innopolis University. 

Head of the Federal agency for youth affairs Sergey Pospelov reminded that participants of BRICS Youth Summit are going to visit Innopolis University, and university BRICS summit will be held in Moscow in November. 

Brazil National Secretary for Youth Affairs Gabriel Medina de Toledo said that a new world with new realias is being created today for ensuring further development in conditions of justice and equity. He also noted hospitality that the summit participants felt in Moscow and Kazan. 

Memorandum on cooperation was signed at the end of the meeting.
