Tatarstan President hands over awards to organizers of 16th FINA World Championship in Kazan

On October 7, at a summary meeting of the organizing committee of the 16th FINA World Championship in Moscow, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov handed over awards to organizers of the championship.

The 16th FINA World Championship was held in Kazan on July 24-August 9, 2015. The team of China won 35 medals (15 gold), team USA won 33 medals (13 gold), and Russia won 17 medals (9 gold).

Medal of the order “Of merits to the Republic of Tatarstan” was handed over to State Secretary, Russian Deputy Minister of Sport Natalia Parshikova, Deputy Minister of Finance Airat Farrakhov, medal of the Republic of Tatarstan “For valorous labour” was handed over to the Head of the Sports Medicine Department of the Federal Medical and Biological Agency Julia Miroshnikova.

Letters of commendation of Tatarstan President were awarded to Gennaby Aleshin, a honorary member of FINA, Deputy Director of the Legal Department of Russian Ministry of Sport Irina Andreeva, first deputy chairman of the Committee of the State Duma on physical cultuture, sport and youth affairs Marat Bariev, Vice President of the Russian Synchro Federation Olga Brusnikina, and others.
