Tatarstan President suggests creating working group to study the impact of traffic of heavyweights on regional roads
On November 19, at the 13th session of the Tatarstan State Council, President of the republic Rustam Minnikhanov suggested creating a working group to study the impact of traffic of heavyweights on regional roads.
The working group will comprise representatives of Tatarstan Committee for economy, investments and entrepreneurship, Ministry of Transport and Roads of the republic, State Traffic Inspectorate, and the Council of municipalities.
On November 15, the toll collection system was launched for heavyweights with the weight of more than 12 tonnes on all federal highways in Russia.
According to Russian Ministry of Transport, 400, 000 vehicles of domestic and foreign logistics companies have successfully passed registration in the system.
