On February 16, during his working trip to the Nizhnekamsk region, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov took part in a summary session of the local council.
Head of the region Aidar Metshin, who made a keynote report, informed that almost all planned economic indexes were reached and all social obligations were fulfilled.
The region produced 23 per cent of industrial output of the republic, the industrial production index made 102.3 per cent. As for attraction of investments, the region was ranked second among other municipalities of Tatarstan.
It was noted that 131, 000 square metres of housing were commissioned in the region. Moreover, five schools, two kindergartens, one recreation camp and five teen clubs were repaired. A lot of work was done under the programme “Accessible environment”.
Aidar Metshin reported on results of work in the sphere of education, interaction with population, and the situation in the labour market.
Speaking at the session, Rustam Minnikhanov said that Kama innovation territorial production cluster is the main growing point of the republic, where the Nizhnekamsk region that will be responsible for petrochemical industry plays a key role.
The president asked to pay special attention to the development of small and medium-sized enterprises. He appreciated the work of the region in the Year of parks and squares and added that funding for the reconstruction of the embankment would be provided in the Year of water conservation zones.
