Rustam Minnikhanov takes part in 16th meeting of Tatarstan State Council of the 5th convocation

On March 11, Tatarsta President Rustam Minnikhanov, Tatarstan State Counsellor Mintimer Shaimiev, members of Government of the republic and other officials are taking part in 16th meeting of Tatarstan State Council of the 5th convocation.

The presidium submitted for consideration 36 issues, including 13 republic draft laws, 18 federal draft laws and regional legislative initiatives. Twelve Tatarstan draft laws are to be considered at the first reading, one - at the second.

At the first reading the deputies will consider bills on making amendments to the republic laws on fire safety, crime prevention, roads and road activities, development of small and medium-sized businesses, on physical culture and sport, on freedom of conscience and religious associations, and some others.

A bill on amendments to the republic law on Tatarstan state awards will be considered at the second reading. It envisages a possibility of awarding not only individuals, but also institutions with the highest state award of the republic - the order for contributions to Tatarstan well-being.

Also, the State Council will hear a report on the results of activity of Tatarstan business ombudsman in 2015 and a report on activities of children's rights ombudsman on observance of the compliance of children rights and legitimate interests.
