Kazan – Frankfurt direct flight opens up new opportunities for Russia-Germany cooperation

On June 2, at a working meeting between Tatarstan Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov and German company Bosch Tatarstan Government House, the delegation's leader, Vice President Bosch of Security Systems Robert Mulatz said that he is glad Aeroflot air carrier is launing new direct flights Kazan- Frankfurt – Kazan from June 17.

Mulatz said that he is convinced that the event will open up new opportunities for the Russia – Germany business cooperation”. He said that before arriving to Kazan early this morning he had to wait for a connect flight in Moscow, which was very inconvenient.

Khalikov told about close cooperation with Germany and said that Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov is on a working visit in Dresden now.  Then the visitors were demonstrated investment potential of the republic for the Bosch company at SEZ Innopolis, SEZ Alabuga, Master Industrial Park and other facilities.

In 2015, trade turnover between Germany and Tatarstan nearly reached 1.2 billion US dollars, with export and import totaling 54.2 and 45.8 per cent, respectively. Despite 50 per cent decrease in trade turnover  as compared with 2014 because of economic sanctions against Russia, ninety per cent of the German companies continue their relations with the region.
