On November 9, speaking at a board session of Tatneftekhiminvest-holding held by Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, Director General of Tatneftekhiminvest-holding Rafinat Yarullin said that from January to September 2016 in Tatarstan, as well as in Russia the petrochemical complex has maintained last year's production volumes, having shipped products for the sum of 834.5 billion roubles.
Yarullin reported that proceeds of petrochemical enterprises of the republic have increased by 2 per cent and exceeded 691 billion rubles, while the country's major petrochemical markets have seen a decline in prices.
From January to September Tatarstan has produced 26.2 million tonnes of oil. Small oil companies have maintained the last year's level, Tatneft Oil Company has increased production by 4.9 per cent.
The meeting also considered innovative offers for petrochemical enterprises of the republic. In particular, Professor of the Institute of Oil and Gas Problems of the Russian Academy of Sciences (Moscow) Sumbat Zakirov told about the method of geomechanical effects on oil reservoirs using structured water, which makes it possible to increase oil displacement factor by 30 per cent.
Minnikhanov offered "Tatneft" company to discuss the proposed method and create a working group.
