Ministry of Finance of the Russian Federation: the issue of insurance of SME fund in banks since 2018 is being considered

The issue of insurance of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) fund placed in banks has been under consideration since 2018. The decision will be made by the government. This was announced by Deputy Finance Minister of the Russian Federation Alexei Moiseev.

"The possibility of introducing SME insurance from 2018 is currently under consideration. The government will decide on this issue", - he has said.

At the same time, Head State Duma financial market committee Anatoly Aksakov has said that the draft law about insurance of SME funds is planned to be introduced in the spring session of the State Duma. Thus, the system of insurance of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in banks with a basic license can begin to work from January 1st, 2018.
