Vladimir Putin instructed Dmitry Medvedev to take additional measures to support investment in the economy

Russian President Vladimir Putin invited Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev to think about additional measures to support investment in the economy, taking into account the factor of strengthening the ruble.

"Today there are favorable conditions for high-tech imports, I mean strengthening the national currency, strengthening the ruble. This is a fundamental factor, due to the floating rate, sometimes it improves, sometimes it becomes less attractive, but in these conditions, it would probably be fair to think about additional measures to support investment in the Russian economy", - Putin said at a meeting with Medvedev.

"There are some proposals here, which, perhaps, can be thought through in advance, consulted with colleagues in the government. Perhaps, it is possible to come to some joint decision during the discussion with the parliament", - the head of state said.

Medvedev agreed.
