The Russian government has approved amendments to the 2017 budget

On Thursday, The Government of the Russian Federation approved the bill “On amendments to the Federal Law “On the federal law on the federal budget for 2017 and the planning period of 2018–2019”, told Finance Minister Anton Siluanov .

 According to the amendments, the Finance Ministry forecasts the budget deficit will decrease from 3.2 percent of GDP to 2.1 percent.

Federal budget revenues are proposed to raise to 14 trillion 631.9 billion rubles. Federal budget expenses will be increased from 16 trillion 240.8 billion rubles to 16 trillion 555.8 billion rubles.

The forecasted level of inflation for 2017 is suggested to be fixed at 3.8%, instead of 4% in the new version of the budget.
