The draft law on changes to budget for 2017 and the planning period of 2018 and 2019 was introduced for consideration by the State Duma at the end of May. Subsequently, State Duma Budget and Taxes Committee head Andrei Makarov reported that the document will be considered at a State Duma plenary meeting in the first reading on June 9.
The Ministry of Finance has published the draft amendments to the budget earlier. It implies a decrease in budget deficit to 2.1% of GDP, an increase of budget revenues to 14.679 trillion ($258 bln) rubles and an increase in expenditures to 16.603 trillion rubles ($291 bln).
