Ministry of Finance is considering the possibility of merging the NWF and the Reserve Fund

Russia Reserve Fund may be replenished by 623 billion rubles next year. This was announced by the head of the Ministry of Finance Anton Siluanov on the sidelines of the meeting of finance ministers of the BRICS countries.

"We believe that the decisions are made on National Welfare Fund on invest in infrastructure projects must be implemented. But the other remaining part of the NWF is the same source for financing the federal budget expenditures, the same funds as the Reserve. I do not exclude that we can consider the issue of consolidating the resources. This will be made to create a unified volume of funding sources of budget deficit sources", - the minister said.

The second part of the NWF will be used to finance infrastructure projects, he added.
