The IMF confirmed the forecast about the recovery of the Russian economy

The international monetary Fund (IMF) in the report «prospects for the global economy» confirmed the trend of recovery of the Russian economy.

«The economy of the Russian Federation, according to the forecast, will gradually recover in 2017 and 2018 in accordance with the April forecast,» — said in the document, the text of which is posted on the Foundation’s website.

Also unchanged from April remained the growth of Russia’s GDP by 1.4% in 2017 and in 2018. In addition, in Russia and certain other emerging markets inflation is going down.

In the April report, the forecast for Russia has been improved compared with January, when the expected growth of 1.1% in 2017 and 1.2% in 2018.

In General, the authors of the report state is gaining momentum the economic recovery and growth of world output. Global GDP, according to IMF forecasts, in 2017 will grow by 3.5% in 2018 — another 3.6. It is expected that in the medium term the growth rate will decrease.
