Russia’s GDP grew 1.5% in first half of 2017

Russia’s GDP grew 1.5 percent in the first half of 2017 year on year, the country’s Federal State Statistics Service (Rosstat) said in a statement Thursday.

The Russian Economic Development Ministry in late July estimated the GDP growth in the first half of the year at 1.7 percent.

The ministry’s forecast for GDP growth in 2017 is 2 percent.
