On January 29 at a summary session of Tatarstan Department of Federal Service for Supervision in the Sphere of the Protection of Consumer Rights and Human Welfare Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov said that the main positive result was that no epidemics and major accidents were registered in Tatarstan cities and regions in 2013.
Head of Tatarstan Department of Federal Service for Supervision in the Sphere of the Protection of Consumer Rights and Human Welfare Marina Patyashina made a keynote report, noting that successful holding of summer Universiade in Kazan was the main result of the department’s work in 2013. 290 specialists worked at Universiade venues, 16 thousand laboratory analyses were done during the competitions with 63 out-of-specification samples revealed.
On January 28 at a summary session of Tatarstan Ministry of Transport and Roads Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov said that employees of the industry performed a large amount of work during World Summer Universiade thus contributing to modernization of the transport industry.
Russian Minister of Transport Maksim Sokolov, Deputy Presidential Envoy in Volga Federal District Galina Izotova took part in the event.
Tatarstan Minister of Transport and Roads Lenar Safin reported on priority tasks to be fulfilled. Speaking about public transport, he suggested creating a complex training system for drivers, and test drivers for knowledge of the Russian language and traffic regulations.
A certification centre is planned to be opened at Kazan technical school of overground and underground transport.
On January 28 Presidential Envoy in Volga Federal District Mikhail Babich visited special economic zone “Alabuga” (Elabuga minucipal district, Tatarstan). Accompanied by Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, Mikhail Babich looked around production facilities located in SEZ “Alabuga”, such as “Rokvul Volga”, “Ford Sollers Elabuga” and “Trakya Glass Rus”, which is under construction.
At “Ford Sollers Elabuga” Mikhail Babich was informed that the assembly of Ford Transit of the new generation is expected to be started in the second half of 2014. A presentation of special economic zone was made at administrative business center of SEZ “Alabuga”. Director General of JSC “SEZ PPT “Alabuga” Timur Shagivaleev told why world brands choose this platform to develop their business, about tax privileges and preferences for resident companies and other conditions.
Vladimir Putin awarded President Rustam Minnikhanov, Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin and several ministers for their great contribution to the preparation of the Universiade 2013. Minister of Finance of the Republic of Tatarstan Radik Gaizatullin was awarded by presidential decree with the Russian "II degree merit medal".

On January 27 at an extended board session of Tatarstan Ministry of Culture Minister of Culture Airat Sibagatullin addressed Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov with a suggestion to increase the amount of the State Prize of the Republic of Tatarstan named after Gabdulla Tukai up to 500,000 rubles.
The event took place at Tatar State Academic Theater named after Galiaskar Kamal with participation of Chief of Staff of Tatarstan’s President Office, Board Chairman of Presidential Cultural Support Fund Asgat Safarov, Deputy Chairman of Tatarstan State Council Rimma Ratnikova, heads of departments and cultural workers.
To the point, currently the State Prize named after Gabdulla Tukai makes 300,000 rubles. The prize is awarded for the most outstanding and publicly recognized works of literature and art, which made a considerable contribution to development of domestic and national culture as well as outstanding scientific researches in the field of art and literature studies.

Reporting on results of work in 2013, Tatarstan Minister of Culture Airat Sibagatullin said that there were three times as many venues, where conservation and restoration works were carried out. 29 museums were connected to the Complex automated museum information system.

Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Tatarstan held meetings with leaders of the Financial and Budget chambers of municipalities and municipal districts of the Republic of Tatarstan on January 23-24. The meetings discussed the execution of local budgets for 2013 and expected execution of local budgets in January 2014.
Finance Minister Anton Siluanov sees no problem and the fundamental base in fluctuation of the ruble as a current account surplus of balance of payments of the Russian Federation consistently positive. He made this statement on the radio station "Echo of Moscow". "From the beginning of 2014, we see a weakening of the ruble, about 3.6%. Basically, it's a little" - said Anton Siluanov, adding that last year, currency fluctuations in some developing countries have reached 20-30%.
