On January 24 Tatarstan Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov, Minister of Industry and Trade Ravil Zaripov, heads of ministries and agencies, enterprises and organisations took part in solemn presentation of awards to winners of IX Regional contest for prizes of Tatarstan Government.

Ildar Khalikov noted that the contest was held for 9 years. About 700 enterprises have participated in the contest.

Ravil Zaripov told that 82 organisations sent their requests to take part in the contest. 41 of them were selected for on-site round. Later on, 8 winners and 18 diploma winners were selected.

Moreover, certificates were presented to some enterprises and organisations for achievements in the sphere of quality.

On January 24 Tatarstan Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov held a board session of OAO “Generation company” at Tatarstan Government House. Members of the board discussed preliminary results of company’s activity in 2013 and approved tasks to be realized in 2014.

Results of repair and construction programme that was implemented in 2013 were also summarized, and capital construction plan to be realized in 2014 was discussed. Power generation of OAO “Generation company” made 14 839 mln kWh. Production of own-produced heat power made 9 569 Gcal.

According to preliminary results of company’s economic activity, total revenue was 6 per cent less than the planned level.

As for planned technical and economic rates for 2014, power production is to make 14 498 mln kWh. Construction of the gas turbine unit 220 MW at Kazan power station is to be finished in December 2014.

On January 23 at a summary session of State Alcohol Inspection of the Republic of Tatarstan on state control for production, turnover and quality of ethanol, alcohol products and protection of customers' rights Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov said that counteraction to the growing illegal alcohol market should become a common task of regional authorities, local self-government, public organisations and the public.

Before the session Ildar Khalikov met with Head of interregional department of Federal Service for Alcohol Market Regulation on Volga Federal District Evgeny Kachalin and Director General of OAO “Tatspirtprom” Giorgy Kupriyanov and discussed problems faced by the major alcohol producer in Tatarstan

The Ministry of Finance of Republic of Tatarstan continues meetings with enterprises of the republic, that reducd income tax payments in 2013.

Budget deficits of Russian regions by the end of 2013 are amounted to 673 billion rubles (about 1% of GDP), Deputy Finance Minister Tatyana Nesterenko told journalists. The budget income is amounted to 8 trillion 140.6 billion rubles., Which is 56 billion rubles more than previously approved amount. Expenses were performed in amount of 8 trillion 813.6 billion rubles which is 773 billion rubles less than the previously approved amount. Thus, the budget deficit was not 1.39 trillion rubles., and almost 2 times lower, according to the Finance Ministry granted.

"The state social policy "misses the poverty target" that does not lead to poverty reduction and increased inequality in Russia", - Deputy Finance Minister Tatyana Nesterenko told journalists. In her opinion, this is according to the World Bank's analysis and the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), in which the Russian rankings focus on social policy takes "one of the worst places."

Reserve fund  will be filled with an additional oil and gas revenues, that equal  to 207.6 billion rubles and will reach 3 trillion 67.4 billion rubles (4.5% of GDP), Deputy Finance Minister Tatyana Nesterenko told reporters .

Minister of Finance of the Republic of Tatarstan Radik Gaizatullin held meetings  on January 21, 2014 with  TAIF Group and energy enterprises to consider the payments for income taxes in the budget of the republic in 2013. The meeting was attended by representatives of the Federal Tax Service of the Russian Federation to the Republic of Tatarstan and the Ministry of Industry and Trade.

On January 21 at a briefing at Tatarstan Cabinet of Ministers Minister of Construction, Architecture, Housing and Utility Sector Irek Faizullin informed that 13 bln rubles were allocated for construction of objects in Innopolis, and 1 bln rubles - for Smart City Kazan.

16 houses, a technopark, IT University, objects of transport and engineering infrastructure will be built in Verkhny Uslon region in 2014. By and large, 200 thousand m² of property is to be commissioned.

In August 2013 the first start-up complex with total area of 52 hectares was supplied with gas.

On January 21 Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, Director General of Rostech state corporation Sergey Chemezov, Head of ZF Friedrichshafen AG Dr Stefan Zommer, Director General of KAMAZ Sergey Kogogin, Mayor of Naberezhnye Chelny Vasil Shaikhraziev took part in launching of new production complex of a joint enterprise of KAMAZ and Zahnrad Fabrik - ZF-Kama.

It is the first KAMAZ enterprise launched with participation of a foreign company. Founded in 2005, ZF-Kama produces mechanical gearboxes mainly for KAMAZ vehicles.

Launching of new production complex will help to expand the range of products and establish thermal production process as well. It is planned that by 2016 investments into the enterprise will make 90 mln Euro. Production capacities will increase by 2.5 times.
