On September 23 Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov arrived in Singapore to take part in the 8th Russia Singapore Business Forum.

To the point, the Russia Singapore Business Forum was organized in 2006 and became the only high level event in Asia for business representatives from Russia, CIS countries, Singapore and other Asian countries. The forum’s main goal is to foster business contacts, discuss new possibilities, and latest economic tendencies in Russia and Asian region.

It is expected that 800 participants, including representatives from the most dynamic Russian and Singaporean business segments, will attend the four-day Forum 2013 (September 23-26), that takes place at Suntec Singapore International Convention and Exhibition Centre.

On September 23 at his meeting with Head of Myanmar Chamber of Commerce and Industry Win Aung Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov said that helicopters, trucks, and other produce of machine-building complex be in-demand in Myanmar.

The meeting was held during the working trip of Tatarstan President to Myanmar.

Rustam Minnikhanov thanked the receiving party for an opportunity to visit Myanmar Chamber of Commerce and Industry. He stated that currently trade and economic relations between Tatarstan and Myanmar are not developed, though in the past Kazan helicopters plant delivered 19 helicopters to Myanmar.

Rustam Minnikhanov believes that deliveries of helicopters may be continued, and KAMAZ can also produce a wide range of trucks for civil and military purposes for Myanmar. Cooperation may also be developing in the sphere of mining industry and gas transportation.

On September 22 a holiday of family, health and sport - all-Russia race day “Cross of nations 2013” that united athletes, pupils, students, workers of different enterprises, and government employees was held in Kazan. 

The sports event was held near Kazan-Arena stadium. Races of family teams, veterans of sport, VIP and mass races were traditionally held during the event. 

Tatarstan Minister of Youth Affairs, Sport and Tourism Rafis Burganov, Deputy Head of Kazan Executive Committee Leila Fazleeva, and the President of Athletics Federation Khafiz Salikhov officially opened the event. The Minister wished good luck to participants of the race.

On September 21 at their meeting in Kazan Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov and experts of Leontief centre discussed terms and approaches to development of the strategy of Tatarstan social and economic development till 2030.

Leontief centre is an international centre of social and economic research founded in 1991 by initiative of St. Petersburg Mayor Anatoly Sobchak and Noble Prize laureate in economics Vasily Leontief. The centre organizes and conducts researches in the sphere of regional economy and public finances, renders consulting services to regional and federal and municipal authorities upon development of strategic plans, projects and programmes of social and economic development.

The price of fuel in Russia could rise to a maximum of 1.4 rubles per liter as a result of the tax maneuver and raising excise taxes on gasoline in 2014, told Deputy Finance Minister Sergei Shatalov.

The Ministry of Finance maintains plans to increase the export duty on heavy oil products in 2015, up to the size of the export duty on oil, but does not exclude the possibility of adjusting these plans, including those initiated by oil companies, said Deputy Finance Minister Sergei Shatalov.

Deputy Finance Minister Sergei Shatalov stated that the new scheme of vehicle tax can be introduced in the Russian Federation since 2015.

Finance Ministry proposes to change the calculation of vehicle tax from horsepower to cubic meters and enter the coefficients taking into account environmental class and age of the car.

Deputy Minister of Finance of the Republic of Tatarstan Alexei Shishkin made ​​a report on the budget of the Republic of Tatarstan for the 1st half of 2013 today at a meeting of the Committee on Budget, Taxes and Finance of the State Council.

Taxes and non-tax revenues were received in the consolidated budget of the Republic of Tatarstan in the amount of 75.1 billion rubles, or 50 percent of the annual plan. Given the federal funds total revenues are amounted to 89.5 billion rubles.

The budget of the republic recieved tax and non-tax revenues in the amount of 57.9 billion (50 percent of the adjusted annual plan).

On September 18 Tatarstan Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov, Mayor of Naberezhnye Chelny Vasil Shaikhraziev, Head of Bank Tatarstan Rushan Sakhbiev took part in opening of Sberbank mortgage loan centre in Naberezhnye Chelny.

Services at the mortgage loan centre will be rendered by one-stop principle. Ildar Khalikov said that the event was very important for the town. There are special negotiation rooms and safe deposit boxes for comfortable conclusion of transactions, and the optimal scheme for submitting loan applications.

On September 18 participants of a special general shareholders meeting of OAO “Nizhnekamskneftekhim”, which was held in Nizhnekamsk, confirmed their intentions to maintain continuity of relationships with the city.

The main issue on the agenda was the elections of new Board of Directors.

OAO “TAIF” Deputy Director General on management and strategic development of OAO “Nizhnekamskneftekhim” Vladimir Busygin was elected the Board Chairman by an unanimous voting. The former Board Chairman Albert Kashafovich has become the honoured member of the Board.

Albert Shigabutdinov has held the office of Nizhnekamskneftekhim Board Chairman since 2006. The company’s profit reached its historical maximum (up to 17 mln roubles) during that time.
