President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov is on a working trip in Davos (Switzerland) on January 22-23. 

Main purpose of the trip is participation in opening of the World economic forum in Davos on the official Russian delegation led by Chairman of the Russian Government Dmitry Medvedev. 

All discussions will be dedicated to the topic “Stable dynamism”. The event’s motto is “Entrepreneurship for the benefit of global society”.

On January 22, Rustam Minnikhanov participated in official opening of the World economic forum (Congress Centre, Congress Hall).

President of Tatarstan has a number of business meetings on the agenda during his stay in Davos. In particular, opportunities for further cooperation were discussed during the conversation with the founder of the World economic forum, Professor Klaus Schwab. 

Murad A Gadylshin chaired a meeting of the State Council's Committee on Budget, Taxes and Finance, which examined two Republican bills and heard a report on the work of the Accounting Chamber of the Republic of Tatarstan. Representatives of the Ministry of Finance, the Prosecutor's Office, the Chamber and other national agencies attended.

The draft laws "On Amendments to the Law of RT" On the budget of the Republic of Tatarstan for 2013 and the planning period of 2014 and 2015, "and" On the approval of additional agreements to agreements on the provision of RT budget from the federal budget cost loans, " were presented by the Deputy Minister of Finance Alexei Shishkin. He explained that, in fact, these two bills are interrelated, as a condition for the federal government delayed the return of budget credits and a substantial reduction in interest rates when the maturity of the Plan is to take measures to improve public finances, as well as the law on the approval of an additional agreement on restructuring debt.

Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov attended a meeting of the Commission of monitoring the achievement of the targets of social and economic development of the Russian Federation under the President of Russia. The first meeting of the Commission in 2013 was held by Russian President Vladimir Putin (Moscow region, Novo-Ogarevo).

Monitoring Committee was set up by presidential decree in July 2012, key indicators of socio-economic development were defined the presidential decree of May 7, 2012. The documents stated long-term objectives in the economic, demographic and social policy, health, education and science, providing citizens with affordable housing.

Meeting on the project "Smart City Kazan" held today Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov. The meeting took place at the House of Government of the Republic of Tatarstan. It brought together representatives of the Government of the Republic of Tatarstan, as well as heads of major companies of the country. Opening the meeting, Minnikhanov noted that the project "Smart City Kazan" has played a strategic role in the development of Kazan as an international metropolis. "The project is a kind of driver for the development of our capital, - he said. - This is one of the most attractive points of development that we have, and the most promising. "
“The share of citizens receiving state and municipal services using one-stop principle should make 90 percent in 2015,” Chairman of the RF Government Dmitry Medvedev said at a video conference meeting on issue of step-by-step rendering of state and municipal services using one-stop principle. Representatives of all federation subjects participated in the event.

The Republic of Tatarstan was presented by the President Rustam Minnikhanov, Minister of informatization and communications Roman Shaikhutdinov, Aide to the President Airat Khairullin, Minister of economy Midkhat Shagiakhmetov, Chief of the RT Department of Federal Service for State Registration, Cadastre and Cartography Azat Zyabbarov.

President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov told about measures that can be taken in Russian regions to provide competitiveness at global markets at a plenary discussion of the International conference “Russia and the world” within the framework of Gaidarov forum in Moscow. 

Gaidarov forum is a constantly developing discussion platform and a meeting place of experts influencing economic and political development. Various ideas and approaches to understanding global processes happening in Russia and in the world are discussed at the forum.

Delegation of the Volgograd region led by the Governor Sergei Bozhenov arrived in Kazan. President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov met members of the delegation at the international airport “Kazan”.

New terminal 1A was presented to the guests upon arrival. On January 16, members of the delegation will visit technopolis “Himgrad” and ZAO “Danaflex-Nano”. The Aquatics Palace and football stadium under construction will be shown to Sergei Bozhenov. 

Moreover, the delegation will visit Agro-industrial park and Universiade Village. A number of innovative projects will be presented to the guests in IT-park.

In addition, a meeting between the Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov and Governor of the Volgograd region Sergei Bozhenov is on the agenda. 
Tatarstan’s PM Ildar Khalikov has introduced new Chief Executive Officer of OAO “VAMIN”, – Marat Muratov who has held the post of First Deputy Chief of the RT President’s Staff since August 2012. 

Budget sector in Russia needs to be reformed, Finance Minister Anton Siluanov said, speaking at the conference "Russia and the World: Challenges of Integration" within the Gaidar Forum on Wednesday.
"If the consolidation does not work, perhaps there is no need to do it," - said the Minister.

Talking about the lessons of the crisis, the finance minister said that the country, in particular, drew from him the need to limit budget spending, as well as in general public sector reform.

The revision of the investment policy of the sovereign wealth funds of the Russian Federation is not necessary, since there is no risk of a sovereign default is not the U.S., expressed his opinion the agency "Prime" Deputy Finance Minister Alexei Moiseev.
Debt ceiling in the U.S. currently stands at 16.394 billion dollars, the last time it rose at the end of January 2012. Country overcame the ceiling by December 31, 2012, but the Finance Ministry has taken steps required to continue servicing the debt. An agreement on raising the ceiling administration and Congress must reach before March 1, otherwise the country will be able to pay its liabilities.
