On January 21 Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, Tatneft Director General Nail Maganov, KAMAZ Director General Sergey Kogogin arrived in Davos to take part in the World Economic Forum.

Within the framework of the forum Tatarstan President is going to meet with representatives of major international companies to discuss participation of foreign companies in Innopolis and Smart City Kazan projects. Rustam Minnikhanov will also take part in some discussions. In particular, he will present a report at the session “Russia's Regions: Drivers of Growth”.
The State Duma passed the first reading of a government draft amendments to the Tax Code, aimed at simplifying the tax accounting, as well as convergence of rules for calculating the tax base for corporate income tax and the rules for determining the financial result in accounting on a plenary session on Tuesday. Treasury bill is designed in accordance with the budget message of the President of the Russian Federation. The purpose of the bill is the convergence of tax and accounting.

Talking about the state of the forecast ruble Siluanov stressed that  he "would not talk about the weakening or moving in the direction of strengthening of ruble now."

Today, the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Tatarstan held a working meeting with the heads and specialists of financial bodies, heads of financial services of education departments, as well as accountants, accruing parental payment for supervision and care of children in preschools in municipalities of the Republic of Tatarstan.
On January 16 within the framework of Gaidar forum in Moscow participants of penal discussion “Tatarstan: shaping the future” spoke about problems and challenges faced by Tatarstan as one of the most economically developed Russian regions.

Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, heads of Tatarstan major enterprises, leading Russian and foreign experts – Head of representative office of International Monetary Fund in Russia Bikas Joshi, managing partner of Ernst&Young Aleksandr Ivlev, professor of Harvard University Timothy Colton, Vice-president of AbbVie EEME&A Operations Alberto Colzi, Deputy Director of Leontief centre Boris Zhikharevich, ex-president of Troika dialog investment company Ruben Vardanyan took part in the event.
On January 16 at an extended session of Tatarstan Department of Russian Pension Fund Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov said that absence of arrears in pension payments is the best result of work of Tatarstan Department of Russian Pension Fund.

Heads of Tatarstan ministries and agencies, employees of Tatarstan President’s Office, State Council, heads of city and regional offices and structural subdivisions took part in the session.

Head of Tatarstan Department of Russian Pension Fund Marsel Imamov made a keynote report on results of the department’s activity in 2013. He informed that the number of pensioners increased by 15.5 thousand and made 1 mln 75 thousand people. The average pension increased by 9.8 per cent and made 9 thousand 851 rubles.

25.6 thousand certificates for maternity capital were issued in 2013.

Today, the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Tatarstan held a working meeting with the heads and specialists of financial bodies of municipalities of the Republic of Tatarstan and the territorial offices of the Treasury Department of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Tatarstan. The meeting discussed issues of cost calculations in institutions, establishment of municipal road funds, payments to the State Habitat Fund, and drafting budget of municipalities and autonomous institutions.
On January 15 at his meeting with Chief Editor of The Business Year in United Arab Emirates Marko Rankovic at Tatarstan Government House, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov answered questions about Tatarstan economy, implementation of some investment projects, and development of petrochemical industry. Issues of foreign economic cooperation of Tatarstan as one of Russian regions with other countries, and experience of the republic in holding international events were also discussed.
