Ministry of Finance and Ministry of Economic Development must submit to the government a draft amendment providing anti-offshore measures aimed at Russian economy until May 19, 2014.

On January 10 Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov held an extended meeting with heads of law enforcement bodies on additional measures on counteracting illegal gambling. Tatarstan Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov, heads and employees of executive authorities, Supreme and Arbitrary courts, law enforcement and supervision bodies, heads of municipalities, and prosecutors from Kazan, Naberezhnye Chelny, Almetievsk took part in the event.

According to participants of the meeting, analysis of the situation in the sphere of state regulation of activity on organisation of gambling games shows that there are many violations in this sphere. Currently, measures on withdrawal of equipment do not make the situation better.

Tatarstan prosecutor Ildus Nafikov said that extensive resources are involved in illegal gambling business. The annual money turnover makes billions of rubles.

On January 10 Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov met with representatives of Tatarstan metropolia of Russian Orthodox Church at the Administration building of Tatarstan metropolia and Kazan Eparchy. The event was held in the framework of Christmas holidays.

Rustam Minnikhanov looked around the reconstructed Administration building of Tatarstan metropolia and Kazan Eparchy. Head of Tatarstan metropolia Metropolitan of Kazan and Tatarstan Anastasy briefly told about repair and reconstruction works. With the total repaired areas of 2800 m² the complex includes temple and administrative sections, an auditorium, classrooms, living blocks for students, a kitchen and dining room.

Tatarstan President started the meeting by congratulating representatives of Tatarstan metropolia of Russian Orthodox Church on Christmas. Issues related to the role of the church in society, preservation and development of Orthodox culture, education of young people and preparation of church officers were raised at the meeting. Metropolitan of Kazan and Tatarstan Anastasy thanked Tatarstan President for his help to Kazan Theological Seminary. He also noted that today Kazan Theological Seminary ranks sixth among universities for church officers.

Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Tatarstan held a videoconference with the heads of fiscal chambers of municipalities of the Republic of Tatarstan.

Russian economy might switch to weekly salary regime in addition to existing 2-times a month regime. The draft bill will be overviewed in the State Duma in January.

UK Ministry of Finance confirmed that the government will not retreat from the policy of reducing government spendings, despite the expected growth of the British economy.

Rostov region for the first time included in the list of low subsidized regions of Russia, as it passed from the category of regions with a federal budget subsidy  from 20% to 60% in the category with a subsidy of less than 20%.

The first part of the Russian state credit to Belarus in the the amount of $ 440 million transferred on the account of the National Bank of the Republic. The rest of the loan of $ 2 billion will go to Belarus middle of the year.

The Russian government has amended the federal target program "Protection of Lake Baikal and the social andeconomic development of the Baikal natural territory for 2012-2020."
