On September 20, at Tatarstan Government House, opening a meeting with Tatarstan representatives abroad and in Russian regions, Tatarstan Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov noted that there are 15 representative offices of the Republic of Tatarstan in the countries of near and far abroad and eight representative offices in Russian regions.
Khalikov reminded that one of the main tasks of Tatarstan representatives abroad and in Russian regions is to assist in promoting Tatarstan products to foreign markets, and attracting investments to the republic.
Also, Tatarstan Prime Minister thanked representatives of Tatarstan for their active assistance during holding the national holiday Sabantuy in Russian regions and other countries.
On September 17, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov took part in a session of the Coordination council of pubic councils at regional ministries and agencies of the Public Chamber of the Republic of Tatarstan.
Speaking at the session, Minnikhanov said that public councils of agencies and municipalities reveal the potential as important civil society institutes. He noted that it is important to bring the regional law about the Public Chamber into compliance with new federal law.
Minnikhanov also supported the idea of the Chairman of the Public Chamber Anatoly Fomin about creation of the portal of non-profit organizations, and resource centers in Kazan, Naberezhnye Chelny, and Almetyevsk.
On September 14, at Tatarstan Government House, Tatarstan Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov had a meeting with the leadership of the Accuray, an American radiation oncology company.
Welcoming the guests, Khalikov noted that Tatarstan is actively cooperating with American companies, such as Ford, Armstrong and ZM. The republic is also proactive in developing international contacts, including health care, he continued.
"Today, we pay much attention to the fight against cancer. With modern methods of therapy the tumor can be treated in almost one hundred per cent of cases when detected at an early stage. It is very important to have modern highly accurate equipment," Khalikov said.
On September 6, at Tatarstan Government House, Tatarstan Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov held a meeting of the Supervisory Board of the Tatarstan Investment and Venture Fund. Issues related to current activity of the fund were on the agenda.
In 2016, due to amendments to the Russian legislation the Fund statute has undergone some changes in the structure of the Fund's bodies. In addition, changes were caused by new powers and functions the Fund has been endowed with this year in accordance with resolutions of Tatarstan Cabinet of Ministers. Director of the Investment and Venture Fund Ainur Aideldinov made reports on these issues.
The Fund exercises the powers of the industry development fund, it is also the fund to support scientific, technical and innovative activity. Currently, according to the statute, the structure of the Fund's bodies consists of the Board of Trustees, chaired by Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, the Supervisory Board - the supreme collegiate body, chaired by Tatarstan Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov, the Expert Council, the Audit Commission and executive bodies.
On September 4, during his working trip to Almetievsk, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov took part in the opening ceremony of the contest of professional skills at Tatneft PJSC.
Rustam Minnikhanov welcomed participants of the contest, best employees and winners of competitions at their subdivisions. He noted that it has become a good tradition to hold the contest at Tatneft since 1970.
Minnikhanov continued that raising the recognition of skilled professions is one of the most important issues in our country, and Tatarstan puts much emphasis on the training of skilled professionals. The president reminded that 1300 people from 65 countries will take part in WorldSkills Competition in Kazan in 2019.
On September 3, at Tatarstan Government House, speaking at a video-conference held by Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov with participation of all municipalities, Tatarstan Minister of Construction, Architecture, and Housing and Utilities Irek Faizullin reported that 1 mln 561.1 thousand square meters of housing, which makes 102 per cent of the plan, have been commissioned in Tatarstan since the beginning of the year.
The construction of houses for WWII veterans is underway. The issues of providing housing for orphan children is being addressed. Funds for the purchase of apartments and houses to the liquidators of the Chernobyl disaster, migrants from the Far North, and persons discharged from military service have been allocated from the federal budget.
On September 2, at their meeting at Tatarstan Government House, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Israel to Russia Zvi Heifetz and Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov discussed prospects of cooperation between Israel and Tatarstan within Russia-Israel relations.
Minnikhanov told briefly about economic, investment and tourist potential of the republic, saying that mutually beneficial relations can be established in a wide range of areas, such as petrochemistry, health care, agriculture, and culture.
Minister of Industry and Trade of the republic Albert Karimov took part in the meeting.
On September 1, at Tatarstan Cabinet of Ministers, Tatarstan Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov chaired a regular board meeting of the Power Generation Company which summed up results of work of the company for the first six months of the current year.
Power generation in the reported period amounted to 5.938 mln Kwh, which is one per cent less as compared to the same period last year and five per cent less than planned. Residential heat supply also dropped and made 5.934 thousand Gcal against 6.241 thousand Gcal last year. Reduced electricity production is due to the tendency to reduce the market price with an ever-increasing fuel price.
In the first six months of the current year, the company's revenue made 17.813 mln roubles, which is one per cent more than last year's level and four per cent less than expected. The work of the company to eliminate accounts receivable was appreciated. The company managed to reduce it by 792 mln roubles, as compared to the same period last year. As of July 1 this year, it makes 1 458 mln roubles.
On August 26, at Tatarstan Government House in Kazan, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov held a board meeting of the Tatneft Oil Company.
On August 4, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov held a session of Presidential Council for entrepreneurship where seven project groups were discussed. The groups were presented in three main topics: economic uncertainty, falling demand, tax and non-tax payments, inspections and administrative barriers.
